Why you should start your Medical grade skin care journey today!

Before I start my blog I want to just want you to think about something. You have a problem with your teeth, so you go to the dentist, You have a health issue, so you go to the doctor. You’re having eye sight issues, so you go to a opticians. You have a skin concern, but you don’t get any advice. Why is that? If you have a skin concern you want to improve it is so vital you have a skin expert that can help you achieve the results you want to achieve.

There are so many products out on the market that it can be hard to know what is good, what is suitable for your skin and what should you buy. Not only that but there are so many buzz word ingredients that are thrown out on the market and I know as a consumer this can become overwhelming. What a lot of people don’t know is that there are two main product categories, and THIS is what can impact you as the consumer. Firstly, we have cosmetic, this is what you genuinely tend to see in a shop, where you can just pick up an item without consulting a skincare professional. This bracket of skincare it feels great, smells great and can superficially make your skin feel good. But what does it do for your skin? As we know a cosmetic does not contain many good quality actives and at a scientific level. This is why you are able to pick it up with consulting a skincare professional. A lot of these products are also not in a protected bottle, which means as soon as you open it the oxygen gets to the product and oxidises it. The last thing is that a cosmetic will only treat the top layers of the skin. All in all, a cosmetic does not achieve skin health. Now cosmetic is pretty much found in shops and department stores and the sad thing is that you can actually spend an awful lot on a cosmetic and although you will initially feel like it’s doing something this is only superficial, and it will not create skin change.

Then we have Medical/pharmaceutical. This is what level I work with and these stand out above and beyond to cosmetic because of the research, quality of the ingredients, molecule size and their AMAZING results. These products penetrate into the epidermal layers and because of their active ingredients give you SKIN CHANGE. And who doesn’t want skin change? With medical/pharmaceutical skin care you are investing into not just science, research but good quality active ingredients and this is what we need from skincare to get a skin change. These skin care lines are so good that even just using their cleansers will make a skin change. The good thing is that if you are someone that invests in the higher end of the cosmetic range you actually won’t see much of a price change. For those who are used to buying cheaper cosmetic skin care it is important to understand that you are paying for science, research and active high quality ingredients. With this level of skin care you will not only be getting your amazing result driven product but you will also be getting a skin care expert who will work alongside you to tailor a plan to you to achieve the results you as an individual want to achieve.

So what do I work with? I work with four amazing brands that bring true skin change. Firstly I work with Environ, this is a South African skin care company. Environ works very closely with Vitamin A and we certainly do know that vitamin A is key for true skin health. They work with a truly unique vitamin A step up programme that really does give skin change. My second company is Mesoestetic, this is a Barcelona skin care company. They are renowned for their pigmentation treatment and this brand works more with acids and peptides to really get skin results. The third brand I work with, which I recently brought in is Clinicare, Clinicare is a Swedish skin care company known for their amazing Hyaluronic Acid. Then my last one is one of my favourites, Advanced Nutrition, this is a British skin supplement company. Good quality skin supplements is a MUST to use alongside your medical grade skin care to truly achieve amazing results.

The last point I want to make. How many products do you have in your cupboard that you’ve purchased, tried and not liked because someone suggested it or you saw it online? Did you buy it without knowing the ins and out, speaking to a professional and knowing if its even suitable for your skin? I certainly know that I used to waste money on products that just did absolutely nothing for me. Investing in medical skin care not only will you get results but your cupboards will no longer be full with wasted money.
