How does Laser really work?!

Laser Hair Removal  is a huge investment in yourself and it’s so important that you know the in’s and out of how it works, the procedure and price.

Firstly let me talk about How our 3d Triology ice machine really works. Our Laser Hair Removal machine uses a mixture of 3 Laser Wave lengths; Alex, Diode and Yagg. Let’s just go into a little more detail about these laser wave lengths:

  1. Alex- Based on the Alexandrite wavelength being the shortest of the 3, it allows for the greatest absorbency of the melanin chromophore. This provides the best solution for the widest range of hair types and colour especially light coloured and thin hair.

  2. The Diode wavelength is very effective on darker skin types but is comparatively less effective on lighter finer hair. Its deep penetration levels offer best results for skin types 1-4.

  3. The YAG wavelength allows for moderate energy by the melanin chromophore providing the optimum solution for darker skin types.

These three laser wave lengths helps to destroy all structures of the Hair Follicle to provide hair free results. This machine works by gently heating up the Hair Follicle to weaken it whilst protecting surrounding skin tissue.

Is it painful?

3D Triology Ice has an amazing cooling system. This cooling system helps to keep your skin cool meaning that this treatment is practically painless.

What hair is it most effective on?

The darker the hair the better. Laser Hair Removal needs a pigment to attach itself too. Through experience we have found the darker and thicker the hair the better the treatment is.

How many sessions are required?

We always recommend between 6-8 treatments. This is one treatment every 4-6 weeks. We then recommend following on with maintenance once every 16-18 months. This is because our body has around 20 million dormant hair follicles which can awaken at any stage.

Can I shave in between?

The great news is that you can shave as much as you want too! However you can not wax, epilate, use hair removal cream or tweezers. We need the hair follicle to grow to be able to treat it so we advise against any hair removal methods that would effect the hair follicle itself.
